Meet our Barn Manager Andrea

Born and raised in Ohio, Andrea Mahaffey grew up surrounded by horses. Her family owned and operated a hunter-jumper barn, where Andrea spent her formative years training and competing. After college and a brief hiatus from the equestrian world, the undeniable pull of horses brought her back to the barn.

Now, when she isn’t involved in barn management tasks, Andrea focuses on teaching and training with an emphasis on biomechanics and healthy movement. She is a certified equine bodyworker, passionate about helping horses—especially those labeled as challenging or “problem” cases—move and feel their best. She applies this philosophy not only in the saddle, but also in her approach to barn management and horse care.

When she’s not working with horses, Andrea is likely out in nature—mountain biking, whitewater rafting, hiking, or enjoying winter sports like snowshoeing and snowboarding.
